We spent our final day at a facility called CareHaven, a residential program for abused mothers and their children. In the morning the women on the team spent time helping the women of the program sew and learn computer skills. A few of us spent time in the creche painting and playing ball with the children at the facility.
In the afternoon the women on our team were able to participate in a time of sharing with the women at the facility. The were very open with us about their experiences and struggles. We were able to share in song with them and encourage them with some bouquets of blessings.
The men on our team put in a hard days work repainting the dining hall at the facility.
